Texturizer 2000 - modtool for Chaser. With this tool is possible to create new mapping coordinates for 3d objects, change materials, create new amazing particle effects, control timing of sound and particles in animations, and lot of more...
Many of the now common 3d graphic modeling software tools did not exist 13 years ago, for example optimized UVW Unwap coordinate mapping was only introduced into 3dsMAX in 2005. During this time the necessity for fast and effective texture mapping of complicated objects presented us with only one solution: create our own tool. So, during the development of "Battle Isle: The Andosia War", the Texturizer was born. We were able to map textures on objects 20 times faster than in 3dsMAX. In time many new functions were added to the Texturizer making it a complex and useful tool. One of the first new functions was the implementation of an effective and fast particle editor which can create stunning particle effects. It is extremely useful for animators too as it is very easy to change animation speed, sound to animation connection and animation to particle effect connection. Further the texture mapping functionality has been optimized to save time and be more efficient: a texture from Photoshop can be transferred through the standard clipboard directly on a 3d model and mapping coordinates transferred back to Photoshop, reducing the necessity of saving and resaving files. Texturizer also contains a strong material editor which can work on the level of shaders. After many of its functions were implemented to the CloakNT editor, Texturizer was retired. Texturizer was used in the creation of 4 game titles giving it an honorable place in history of our in-house tools. Texturizer was never released for public use.
