First and foremost, I would like to give credit where credit is due. This video would not have been possible without the help of two talented YouTubers who provided the resources necessary for me to make it. The Mega Man X2 instrument samples were provided by daveeeey: http://www.youtube.com/user/daveeeey
And the Mega Man X soundfont (which I used to extract samples from) was made by goniochromism. Also gets props for telling me how to extract samples from the soundfonts using Synthfont: http://www.youtube.com/user/goniochro...
Check out there videos, really neat stuff! Remember how I mentioned last time about making my videos more entertaining? This is just a small taste of what's to come. After seeing the (...somewhat awkward) success of my lame old AMV's, I decided it maybe people would be more interested if I did something similar with my chiptune videos.
Anyway, here are two new original (...I think) chiptune compositions. Or, basically me just fooling around with the X1 and X2 samples to see what I can come up with. =P They're pretty nice, I've always wondered how people make SNES music. Thanks to goniochromism, I can now make chiptunes using samples from other games as well, such as Super Mario World. A big thanks for all the help, guys! :)
