Portland is home to an abundance of boutiques, designers, and 5 Project Runway winners. Since we are home to hot designers, why aren't we cool enough to keep them around? A panel of voices in from fashion, investment and economic development will discuss Portland's fashion scene, and leave us with innovative solutions to put Portland higher on the fashion map- for our closet and local fashion industry.


Seth Friedermann, Director of Designer Relations at Manufacture New York, and well-respected advocate for designers' career success and branding.

David Howitt, founder & CEO of Meriwether Group investment firm and author of Heed Your Call.

Becky Ross, apparel and accessory designer, and Project Runway contestant.

Seth Aaron, is the winner of two Project Runway titles. Seth has a high-fashion collection currently being sold on QVC.

Sharon Blair, Owner of Portland Sewing. She is a fashion designer, and teacher to many local companies.

Mort Bishop, President of Pendleton Woolen Mills.

Sheila Hamilton is moderator the panel. She is the News Director for KINK Radio and winner of five Peabody prizes for journalism.
