6.22.12: Kimberly Mawson and her father John, of Connecticut, talk about the trail and her 2 year incarceration after she was convicted of killing her 19-month-old daughter, Jade, in 2007. Mawson was released on bail in 2010, after a lawyer reported to the courts that Dan Fusco had told him that he killed the child. The state attorney general's office dismissed a second-degree murder charge against Mawson altogether last week. The attorney general announced Friday that Fusco would not be charged. "The account attributed to Fusco cannot be reconciled with the evidence presented at trial concerning the manner of Jade's death," the office said in a statement. "Nevertheless, the existence of the statement creates a significant evidentiary issue which, upon further analysis, leaves the likelihood of a unanimous verdict of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt virtually impossible."
