On this week’s hotly-anticipated Larry David-hosted Saturday Night Live, fans of the comic actor’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and Sen. Bernie Sanders got a rare treat with a film piece called “Bern Your Enthusiasm.”

The “episode” featured a nifty mashup of David’s trademark neuroses and Sanders’ own real-life political struggles with things like winning Iowa and connecting with black voters.
Although the piece didn’t feature an onscreen meeting of Larry David and Bernie Sanders, the credits to the piece indicated that the ascerbic senator was close by during the proceedings.
