This mood seal was commissioned by Cheryle of California. She wants a mood seal with the meaning "Being in the Tao" or "Realize Tao" so I selected the two characters "悟道"(Wu-Tao) for her. We both thought a Yin style seal would be "right" for this Taoist mood seal since Lao-tzu, the old master, favored the yin, which emphasize more on spontaneous side of the Tao. I hope you enjoy watching this video documentation with a little bit introduction to the evolution of the Chinese characters, as well as the design and engraving process.
