Just a walkthrough of the early stages of the DMCA attack on potholer54 and WildwoodClaire1 by ferocious Golden Crocoduck nominee Amenakin, replete with mirrors of all the DMCA'd material. It seems potholer54 didn't recognize he had a wild crocoduck by the tail!

Amenakin's use of DMCAs in this way is not only reprehensible censorship for mere criticism but also a tad on the illegal side. Although it began with this crocoduck lady conniving YouTube into removing potholer54's videos, it has ended with the DMCA'd videos restored and potholer54 having it in his purview to pursue civil penalties against her and possibly YouTube itself for violation of its own "Safe Harbor" policy... And all that because she doesn't like her mistakes on evolution being pointed out...

Providing legitimate criticism of women for their publicly aired ideas and views on science is a demonstration of respect for women as people, fully including them in the public discourse even if they're flat-earth wrong, particularly when the criticism is as reasonable, inoffensive, and corrective as potholer54's approach to Amenakin. To be against such criticism is to be in favor of a backward notion of women as overemotional, fragile egos in constant need of pampering and sheltering... Humanity is capable of far greater things.

Providing the religious with criticism of their publicly aired ideas and views on science is simply called peer review. If they don't like it, they should try being an actual scientist who endures such awful, merciless peer review for everything they assert in their field... except that scientists tend to have facts and evidence to back up their claims rather than race-baiting, deference to the supernatural, and sheer make-believe.

"If you mistake this for an attack on Islam, sorry, but you're an idiot. And if you complain about it on the forum- which you have every right to do- you become a whiny idiot... I'm not talking about religion. I'm talking about those who comment without watching the video, without taking in or trying to understand what's being said... who foam at the mouth at an imaginary slight. Of course, I can understand where this sensitivity comes from: when there are other idiots on YouTube and public intolerance against Muslims is rampant, it's easy to retreat into a defensive posture and assume that a rebuttal of anything someone says is an attack on whatever religion she happens to hold. But learn to tell the difference. If you can't... then that polarizing gap is never going to be bridged." - potholer54 (from "Stop Whining")

Alas, the "other idiots" mentioned by potholer54 decided to respond to Amenakin's anti-democratic behavior by using his fora to spew racism, and he felt compelled to make a stand against that.

From potholer54's channel as of November, 2011:
UPDATE: Yes indeed, the blocked videos are back up! YouTube sent me an e-mail stating that the counter notifications will now be honored, but gave no explanation as to why. It could have been the threats of legal action, or simply the fact that someone in authority at YouTube has been alerted to the problem. My thanks to all of those who helped and all of those who offered money and support for a legal fund. You are now free to copy and distribute these videos without fear of a strike against you."
