This weekend, the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight program will mark a decade highlighting the mission of Jesuit education through basketball with two Jesuit Basketball Classics, played by four men’s and women’s teams. On Friday, Dec. 1, Gonzaga University will host Creighton University in a nationally televised men’s matchup on ESPN2; on Sunday, Dec. 3, Boston College will host Fairfield University in a women’s contest that will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
During both games, a new video on Jesuit education featuring current students from Jesuit colleges and universities will debut in the arenas at both Gonzaga and Boston College. This is a “teaser” for a longer video that will debut in February 2018, and shown across the country to high school students and their parents. Both videos are part of the #JesuitEducated campaign, the successor to the Pope Francis campaign launched by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in 2015.
