FILM DESCRIPTION:
Apollo 13: To the Edge and Back is the gripping true story of 3 astronauts stranded in space and NASA's unrelenting effort to bring them safely home. The 87-minute documentary contains extensive archival footage of the aborted moon mission and first-hand accounts from crew members Jim Lovell, Fred Haise, and Jack Swigert, as well as commentary from family members and NASA officials. You'll witness every tense moment--from the onboard explosion to the failure of the guidance and power systems to Lovell's ominous statement, "Houston: We've Got a Problem"--as the ill-fated 1970 space mission is chronicled. Dramatic computer effects are a special highlight of the film.
