This was probably one of the first flies i ever tied. I didnt even know that other people were already making it lol. This is a killer for bluegill.I fish it as a wet fly or add floatant and fish it dry. I tied mine a little thicker and on a size 16 or smaller scud hook.
@evilowltoo The dubbing I used was a very old dubbing that I picked up in the bargain bin. It is Fly-Rite Brown olive. A great dubbing that I like even better and is available at almost any fly shop, is Sow-scud in light olive, tan, or grey Happy tying, Ben

@MrKoiking1 yeah..... that was me two years younger, and with an interesting camera angle. check out some of my newer videos better camera zoom... but still have the yellow light. grrr...... damn desk lamp. thanks for the quality control! this pattern works quite well with mono or wire ribbing it also is a KILLER pattern for the table rock dam for lake Tanycomo trout also works good in bright green to immatate caddis pupa
