Watch product specialist Geert Heirbaut explaining how to route video and audio with multiple V__link4 in a network.
Contrary to the V__pro8, the V__link4 has just 4 local SDI inputs and 4 local SDI outputs. The other inputs and outputs are the encoders and de-encoders from the network. Signals can be sent from one V__link4 to the other with Stream Director – but before that, the routing inside the V__link 4 has to be done.
Geert shows in detail how that is done via the graphical GUI of the V__link4.
The V__link4 is designed to provide a one-box-solution for all the requirements of video and audio signal transport and processing. It includes everything from Video-over-IP coding to various monitoring and processing tools. All designed for one purpose: to provide a tool that increases the flexibility of any broadcast application, while saving valuable rack-space, set-up time and production costs. With its virtual cabling capability, V__link4 immediately brings IP infrastructure advantages and cost savings, providing an unparalleled degree of flexibility and scaleability.
