StrictMode is your runtime lint checks, helping you catch potential bugs before they are experienced by your users. While StrictMode has a number of performance related checks, it also helps enforce best practices around sharing files by detected File URI exposure (http://goo.gl/aw6RUh) and cleartext network traffic (http://goo.gl/tF15RN).
