Back in 2006 Tram 44 became a band consisting of four members Harriet Moss, Paul Mallaband, Fraser Babbs and Richard Pilkington, although originally under the name Foreign Policy. Half an album was written and few gigs were played until unfortunately, due to different musical goals, Harriet Moss left Foreign Policy and the three remaining members set out to find a new lead vocalist. Peter Gow became the new lead vocalist and the band chemistry began to ignite. Many more songs were written and recorded with the help of ex recording engineer Chris Tournis. Some songs were recorded in Belgium and others in England producing a collaboration of upbeat and mellow songs that will be appearing on their due to come album, 'One Night to Forget.' Although recording was done mostly by Chris Tournis, most of the final production was done by both Mallaband and Pilkington themselves.

Currently, Peter Gow is studying Civil Engineering at Warwick, Paul Mallaband is studying Engineering at Cambridge, Fraser Babbs is studying Zoology at Glasgow and Richard Pilkington is studing Music at Leeds. Although they all live in separate parts of the U.K. they still meet up regularly through the year playing and writing new music.
