This video interview was recorded on January 16, 2010, at the annual Trapper's Rendezvous held near Newton, Kansas. Over 4,500 Boy Scouts converged to learn about mountain men and the fur trade of the early 1800s, and to trade their own goods in mountain man style. This scout told the story of how he'd traded an alligator tooth necklace (provided by his Scoutmaster) and some pocket knives for a new laptop. He was planning to continue his trading, however, and aspired to swap for a Nintindo DS.
