This video is not intended to provide any medical advice. Consult your physician or lactation expert before deciding on any course of action with the feeding of your cleft palate baby. You are solely responsible for any implementation of feeding based upon ideas presented in this video. The makers of the video take no responsibility, medical or otherwise, for any real life situations pertaining to the information discussed in this video.

I exclusively breastfed my baby with a cleft of the entire soft palate and a bit of the hard palate. He could not suck, but he could express the milk when I held him on from both sides, which is no more complicated than holding the baby and a bottle. His growth was normal and his cleft was surgically corrected a few months after this video was made. I created this video to give other mothers of cleft palate babies tips and the encouragement in case they wanted to try breastfeeding to see whether it perhaps might work to some extent for them also.
