The ADAMHS Board of Cuyahoga County hosts free meetings to create change in our community to reduce the number of lives lost to opiate/heroin/fentanyl addiction. These meetings are attended by recovery advocates, family members who have lost a loved one to addiction and professionals. We discuss how to change the public attitude about mental illness, addiction and recovery as well as new treatment and recovery programs and/or enhances to help individuals maintain long-term recovery.
This is one of four recovery stories the Board is sharing to promote recovery and help eliminate stigma associated with mental illness and addiction.
