The Summit is building a shooting range (among a ton of other stuff). And not just any shooting range. We're aiming for Best In Category. A facility that will shine a light on this incredible sport, and introduce Scouts from across the spectrum of Scouting to everything that shooting can be.

The Summit is located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, which provides amazing opportunities for shooters. The rugged natural landscape and varied topography will help to create a dynamic and challenging shooting course and range within the woods and valleys of the property.

In this video (part 1 of 3), Shooting range expert Mike Davey from the Shooting Academy in Arizona explains exactly what that landscape will mean when designing the new facility at The Summit.

The Summit is the largest project in the history of the Boy Scouts of America. Sitting atop 10,600 acres on the rim of West Virginia's New River Gorge, The Summit will be home to some of the biggest, wildest adventure in the entire BSA.

The 2013 National Scout Jamboree will be here. So will all the others. The 2019 World Scout Jamboree, too. And we're the 4th national high adventure base within the Boy Scouts.
