The London 2012 Paralympic Games opened Aug. 29 with spectacular fanfare in the Opening Ceremony including a parade of nations with 4,200 athletes from more than 160 countries.
The Paralympic Games, Aug. 29-Sept. 9, follow the London 2012 Olympic Games and are held in the same venues as Olympic competition.
