At age 21 I became mysteriously ill, 6 months and numerous tests later I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). What began simply as pins and needles, spread throughout my body evolving in severity and eventually leading to numbness and issues with my mobility. My video piece recounts the early stages of my illness, its progression and my light-hearted, perhaps somewhat naïve way of dealing with it. Other than day-to-day struggles that affect all MS sufferers, this video piece explores my own struggle in trying to hold onto a sense of myself, my personality and my humour.
