A Tannerite Explosion of Epic Proportions. 25 lbs, inside of a dryer, with a washer on top. Shot with a 223 from 150 yards. Strong winds made shooting difficult, but with a plane circling overhead, the result was incredible.

Great video man! It's always nice to see someone else as passionate about H.E. as I am. Got a great tip for ya: Tannerite produces a lot of oxygen after it detonates, so all that oxygen bonds with the nitrogen it produces, forming a lot of NO2 (the brown-orange gas you see). Only thing is, it is wasted energy. If you add say, a gallon or two of gasoline (in a jug) on top of a 20 lb charge of tannerite, that oxygen will react with the gasoline and make a huge fireball. PM me if you can.

plane should have been closer. sick fucking video though

either, you are mistaken and "thought" you saw a flame, or tannerite does produce flame... your call.

@boomboom314159. Your advise is great on the chemistry and use of the compound, however it is ILLEGAL to add gas to this without the proper permits. We did not ha e said permits that day

The plane was something no tannerite vid on youtube had, unfortunately we had a miscommunication and didn't have the plane in an ideal spot to catch the shot. We also had a ground cam the had stopped recording, and a view of the audience that blew over and jammed the lense into a rock... Oh, then we found that we overlooked 5lbs in a car that we thought was with the 25 that we shot. All in all, it was a blast.
