VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED - Male sexual abuse victim speaks out Marae Investigates 28 Aug 2011 TVNZ - Male sex abuse is a subject society doesn't want to talk about, but experts warn it could be the reason behind our high rate of violent offenders. On Marae Investigates this week a victim of sexual abuse breaks a lifetime of silence to warn others to seek help before their lives are derailed.
For the past two weeks on Marae Investigates we have reported on child sexual abuse and the damage it causes.
If you have any concerns about a male, female or older child who feels unsafe around children OR you are worried about a child or children who may have been sexually abused, please phone your local Police station.
Please keep talking to your families about this issue. Unless we get rid of the secrecy and shame surrounding sexual abuse, paedophiles will continue to harm our children.
