A video of the premiere performance of the Latina Dance Theater Project's dance/theater/video production of SLUMBER OF REASON. Inspired by Spanish artist Francisco de Goya y Lucientes' art; especially his series of prints "Los Caprichos" (The Caprices), "Los desastres de la guerra" (The disasters of war), and his "Black" Paintings. Original concept, script and choreography created by Licia Perea, Juanita Suarez, Eva Tessler and José Garcia Davis. 16 short movies created and directed by José Garcia Davis. Music by Wes Hambright. Stage Direction by Timothy Paul Perez. Costumes by Susan Alice Cox. Lighting by Wouter Feldbusch. Set pieces and masks by José Garcia Davis. Performed by Licia Perea, Juanita Suarez, Eva Tessler, Gabriela Nugent, and José Garcia Davis. Produced by Licia Perea and the Latina Dance Theater Project. Performed at Los Angeles Theater Center, Los Angeles, CA in June, 2010.
