Bought MK: Komplete Edition and not all the characters and/or costumes not unlocked by default? Read on:

1. Make sure your hard drive has ample free space.
2. Install the game onto your hard drive, but deleting ALL previous MK9 data beforehand (including DLC, compatibility packs, etc) like I did in the video if applicable. When deleting though, you will lose any saved progress on the Challenge Tower and Story Mode, along with any character arcade ladder endings.
3. Once installed, play the game. Sometimes a reboot of the console is necessary.
4. Verify all 6 characters are unlocked (CSZ, Quan Chi, Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, Freddy) and all costumes are available to you.

XB360 users: You also want to try and clear your cache first, but this affects ALL games. Instructions: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-36...

A brief video showing the main and distinctive elements of the "Komplete Edition" of Mortal Kombat (2011) that was released a couple months back for Xbox and PS3. This is the Xbox version.

There are three segments total in this video. The third segment is probably the most radical change from the "Standard Edition" or "Original Release" as it may be called. If you do not have a copy of MK and are on the fence, get the "Komplete Edition". It's cheap enough now and will save you time if you hate unlocking content.

The disc also includes all patches and updates released since the game was made available April 19, 2011 so you can go online and play without dealing with update notices/downloads.

Already own MK (2011)? Then there is no real incentive or need to buy this unless you absolutely require what the third segment of my video shows.

NOTE #1: I deleted all my files and settings from the "original release" to show that indeed all playable content is unlocked from the get-go. This is NOT a requirement to use MK:KE if you buy it.

NOTE: #2: The endings for characters and DLC are NOT available until AFTER you beat the game in Ladder Mode. I have the DLC character endings shown to prove that you can now see their endings in the Nekropolis.
