A vibrant, multicultural society -- it is what Britain is known for. And it looks like UK babies are testimony to it. In East London -- 77 percent of new mums were not born in Britain.
Nicoleta is from Romania.
"In 2007. I've been here with my husband together, so he has come through and that's it."
Sachini recently moved from Sri Lanka.
"Very very happy. My children is born here - very happy", she says.
Zara has three children.
"I was born in Bangladesh. They get good education, good living standards and everything [in the UK], so I prefer to live in the UK than overseas", she says.
London has become so ethnically diverse that white Britons are now a minority there, as well as in three other cities.
A third of the residents of East London are Bangladeshi - they outnumber the white Britons in this area by 2,000 people.
Sociologists are baffled at how quickly the number of indigenous Brits has diminished over the past decade. Some put it down to a case of "white flight".
They say that Caucasian British families are "self-segregating" - and moving out of the most diverse parts of the city.
"There are people in this country who have racist motives, who don't want people simply because of the color of their skin or ethnicity. But there are a lot of genuinely decent people who do have concerns - even the Labour Party recently discovered that the vast majority of people in their own ranks who would naturally vote for the Labour Party - have concerns - that's something that no government can ignore", says Alp Mehmet, Migration Watch UK.
Poll after poll shows that the people living here are worried about the speed and size of the influx.
"I think there are enough immigrants already here", one man says.
Critics say the government is too frightened to address what Britain will look like in 50 years.
"It's going to look like Islamabad basically. It's going to be a complete population change - the indigenous population is shrinking anyway. The biggest growth demographic in Britain is Islam... And the problem with that is the younger Muslim generation is becoming increasingly radicalized. And I personally think it's going to lead to civil unrest by 2025-2030, possibly civil war", says Paul Weston, an author.
Demographers say that if immigration continues on a similar scale - the white British population throughout the country will become a minority after 2066.
But with less than half of Londoners already describing themselves as "white British", some say that a quiet and irreversible revolution has already taken place in Britain.
