The first part is a live performance of "Runaway Baby" by Bruno Mars at halftime of Georgia State's last home football game of the season. It was "Band Day" so we had over 500 high schoolers on the field playing with us as well, including my old high school South Paulding! We recorded sound straight out of our mixing board, so it doesn't include the marching band's sound.
The second performance is of "The Devil Went Down To Georgia." The audio was recorded live in one take at a recording session with the GSU Marching Band in the Georgia Dome. It was taken from the front mics only, and so the Rock Band's sound was very distant. I re-tracked drums on top of the mix from my home studio so you could hear what I was playing. This was done in one take, and you see some of that footage. All video is recorded on Go Pro Hero2 cameras, and I had a lot of fun with some cool angles including the "mouth" cam! ;) This angle is more stable than the head or chest cam, and provides a better 1st person view.
