"Maybe your best course would be to tread lightly" What amazing acting...

The final scene of the episode, between Walt and Hank in the garage, is rife with cold tension. There's very little screaming and only one punch thrown, but you can hear the threats between the words they're saying. While Hank is furious and ready to go off, Walt won't give him the satisfaction. Walt's final warning -- "If you don't know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly" -- is just vague enough to be threatening, and yet enough of an admission of guilt for Hank to get. The writers always seem to nail these simple scenes between two characters with expository dialogue and this was no different. And the whole set-up to that scene was simple and perfect, too. Walt finds tracker on car; Walt goes to Hank's to check on him; Walt tells too much by even bringing up the tracker. That he went back after their friendly chat to ask about the tracker was the perfect timing in execution. It's something Walt just had to have answered. And Walt's very good at one-on-one conversations.
