In this episode, we look back to Blizzard's 1996 monster hit Diablo, the game that defined the "action RPG." Trading complexity for intensity, Diablo established the formula that's proven successful right up to the present day. While the first game lacks a lot of the bells and whistles of its sequels and imitators, it's still fun to play over 15 years later.
Amazingly, it runs without a hitch even on a modern rig with Windows 7. How's that for quality control?
