Team Pursuit is two nations, eight riders, sixteen laps, fastest team wins - simple! The Olympic Team Pursuit final is Friday 3rd August 2012, and if all goes to plan them Team GB will be in it.
Team GB Team Pursuit squads will know if they are on World Record pace through a process called 'Walking the Line'. It is a non-verbal way for the coach to communicate with riders by taking steps up and down the side of the track.
So, in the televised final when you see a member of the coaching team pacing up and down the side of the track, they are not nervous; they are communicating with their riders.
