"Blue Angel" written by Roy Orbison and Joe Melson was Roy's follow up hit to "Only the Lonely" Released on Monument Records in 1960, it peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Co writer Joe Melson and the Anita Kerr Singers performed the vocal backup. It can be found on the CDs, For the Lonely -- 18 Greatest Hits on Rhino and the All-Time Greatest Hits of Roy Orbison on Sony. Roy was a cool guy and is greatly missed.
