By LA Times bomb threat at Los Angeles International Airport caused major traffic problems at the airport.

Law enforcement sources said officials were searching Terminal 2 after someone called in a threat that bombs had been placed in that terminal and on a plane.

LAX officials have blocked off a portion of the roadway around the airport, and traffic was jammed.

"At approximately 2:05 p.m., Los Angeles Airport Police responded to a report of a telephonic bomb threat," Sgt. Belinda Nettles said. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating. The Los Angeles Police Bomb Squad and Los Angeles Fire Department are on the scene.
