Saint Alphonsus Nurse Navigator Jayne Freeman and patient Janice Canterberry share their thoughts on the Women's Wellness Mobile Clinic. Many women in rural Idaho simply don't have the time to drive to a metro area to get a mammogram. That's why the Mobile clinic takes mammograms to them. 55-year old Janice lives in Council, Idaho and visited the mobile clinic when it stopped in town several years ago. That's how her breast cancer was discovered in its early stages. Janice is a major advocate of the mobile clinic since she credits that mammogram with detecting her cancer early and saving her life.
