We've got casting Details on Dark Knight Rises! Stay Tuned-

Hey Everyone I'm Chelsea Cannell, thanks for checking out Clevver Movies!

Casting confirmations are starting to pour in for The Dark Knight Rises, and by the look of today's announcements, they seem to be on the right track!

Warner Brothers has announced this week that Anne Hathaway will be joining the cast as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman! And while the press release doesn't mention her catty alter-ego, we're pretty sure it's a two for one deal.

We previously told you about the rumor that Dark Knight Rises is looking to cast two leading female characters, one a love interest and the other a villain. The speculation was that Talia al Ghul would fill the role of the villain but with the addition of Selina Kyle we're no longer sure. Kyle or Catwoman could even fill the void for both the villain and the love interest unless of course she doesn't become Catwoman in the movies, in which case she'll probably only be the lover.

However, it doesn't entirely make sense for Nolan to hold out on Catwoman for a 4th installment when he has mentioned that The Dark Knight will most likely be his final batman movie. Hmm So much left to speculate.

Another major casting update is the addition of Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane. It was previously rumored that Hardy would be tackling the role of the evil psychologist Dr. Hugo Strange, but I guess that didn't pan out as expected.

For those unfamiliar with the character, Bane is hooked up to a chemical known as "Venom" that causes his body to become super-muscular when injected. Another fun fact, Bane is typically known for wearing a Mexican wrestling Mask. However, the WB Press Release does mention the role will be a "new interpretation" of Bane, So I guess we won't really know till we see him on the big screen.
