Between 200 and 300 bodies were found on Saturday along the coast in the city of Sendai, north-eastern Japan, the area near the epicentre of the massive earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on Friday. Japan launched a massive military rescue operation on Saturday after the giant, quake-fed tsunami killed hundreds of people and turned the northeastern coast into a swampy wasteland, while authorities braced for a possible meltdown at a nuclear reactor.
