Here is a brief video of our pool project. A shout-out to "Poolandspamoose" for his excellent videos on acid washing, painting, and repairing pools, which helped us tremendously.
I thought I would post this video for anyone else attempting a do-it-yourself pool project. We rehabbed our 34 year old concrete pool at the end of the summer because we have a high water table in our town, and thought that after a dry summer, there would be less stress on the concrete pool when it was drained, and the hydrostatic valve removed.
The most important thing to remember is to be very careful of the Muriatic Acid. The fumes are truly terrible if inhaled. Keep children, pets and people away while doing the acid washing portion of the project.
