A little sketch showing the value of 'concrete visualisation' (illustrating actual quantities of stuff so you can relate to the data physically). A table is often the most efficient way to display data, but it sometimes help to have a 'feel' for the numbers too.

There are all sorts of reasons for the difference between the subregions - political and geographic. Some regions have renewable energy available and have invested in renewable power generation. Other regions have many coal mines and so have built coal power stations over the decades.
