At the heart of Jewish Missions is the salvation of the eternal soul of individuals (deliverance from the penalty of sin). While there are certainly other legitimate concerns which need to be dealt with, none rises to the level of the need to establish an everlasting relationship with the only true living God. The destiny of all life which springs forth from the loins of Adam and Eve, when left to their own devices, is to suffer under the unbearable weight of personal sin and its dreadful results. Living in a sin cursed world with all of its ugly maladies is only the beginning of mankind's ills, there yet awaits a horrific state of eternal condemnation and punishment - "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23) and "the wages of sin is death"(Romans 5:12,16, 6:23). This demise is not only physical, but it includes spiritual death as well, resulting in utter separation from God throughout eternity.
