New Video of ACORN Chief Organizer Bertha Lewis endorsing Barack Obama on FNC "Fox and Friends" 7:11am Commentary
TRANSCRIPT: GRETCHEN WILSON: Speaking of another tape that is being released. Surprisingly so, because you might think that this one would be suppressed. Because this is an organization ACORN, its kind of nuts, this whole thing, its supposed to be non-partisan. But listen, just days ago, after all the fuss about ACORN, theyre still acting partisan. Listen.
BERTHA LEWIS: This is Bertha Lewis, chief organizer of ACORN, I want to thank everyone out there for defending ACORN against the perilous right-wing attacks and smears. That will teach them to attack a community organizer. And if you live in New York, there is one more simple thing that you can all do to help ACORN. Vote for the community organizer, Barack Obama, on the Working Families Party ballot line. Its row E on the ballot. E for the economy. Voting for Barack is good, but voting for him on the Working Families Party line is better. Vote change like you mean it people.
STEVE DOOCY: Ive watched the entire tape, its only about a minute and a half long, Bertha Lewis there, the interim ACORN director, she simply endorses Barack Obama. Vote E, you hear it, in New York state.
WILSON: I would have no problem with that whatsoever, nor should you, but as your taxes are going to ACORN. 40 percent of their budget, $45 million a year, your tax dollars going to the non-partisan group. You might want to look into that.
