The university's new smoking ban was set to take effect three months following Reynolds' talk. Bringing Mr. Reynolds in as a speaker was a key element of a wider, comprehensive plan to take the university smoke free.
Reynolds also speaks to employees at corporations, and gets them ready for a new policy which will take their campus tobacco free.
