Have you ever seen a dog surf? Well, Surf Dog Ricochet is a southern California dog and one of the world’s most famous, award winning surf dogs who surfs for fun, wins dog surfing competitions & most importantly... SURFS WITH PURPOSE!

She surfs solo, with children, adults, pros, celebrities, other dogs, a goat & even Rob Machado! She is in two dog surfing Halls of Fame and has won pretty much every dog competition she’s entered, including Unleashed by Petco surf dog competitions, Purina Incredible Dog challenge and Surf City Surf Dog which were held on Huntington Dog Beach in Huntington Beach which is better known as Surf City.

Ricochet had seen dogs surfing before, but the Purina contest was the first surfing dog dog contest she entered. She thanks the Purina dog challenge for being the catalyst to her competitive surfdog career

She was also one of the Helen Woodward dogs who, with three other surf dog San Diego dogs were featured on the jumbo tron in Times Square, promoting dog surfing in San Diego

As the Canine Ambassador for Surfers with Disabilities℠, she's the only SURFice dog® on the planet who provides therapeutic assistance while creating unique surfing experiences that empower kids with special needs, people with disabilities, wounded warriors & veterans with PTSD.

Ricochet has gone from service dog to SURFice dog® and back again! She is also a hero dog and therapy dog who lives a lifestyle of helping others by 'pawing it forward' while raising awareness & offering support to human/animal causes.

When Ricochet isn’t in the water, she’s helping active duty military service members and veterans. She raised $10,000 to help fund a service dog from K9’s for Warriors for her military veteran she calls her soldier, Randy Dexter. Captain was matched with Randy as a service dog for PTSD. Randy helped create a video entitled Dear Captain, K9s for Warriors for his service dog Captain. It’s an awesome video that gives hope to others with PTSD. Ricochet is also an advocate for other veterans with PTSD and helps educate them on the laws of service dog PTSD issues, psychiatric service dogs, emotional support dogs and therapy dogs. Ricochet and Randy also created the PTSD Battle Buddy Initiative to help veterans.

But what makes Ricochet extraordinary is her powerful ability to make immediate, deep, heart-to-heart connections with the individuals she interacts with. She intuitively and empathically alerts to their emotional and physical changes which allows for profound paws-on healing interventions.
