The 15K elimination is a long and grueling race of tactics. It's the same as the track 15K but there's no way to run technical tracks to keep the lead. Also there tends to be a lot more people in the mix because the road requires more power and less finesse than the track. This race is so long that we started in the light and finished in the dark =S Still, this is a great race for skill and strategy and therefore one of my favorites. This was Seth Schwinn's race to win but I had to abandon him with about 100 M to go and chase down Shaun Thompson (who had a 200M head start). It made for a VERY exciting finish =] Enjoy
PS This was the vary last race that I was able to battle head to head with Shaun Thompson, who was one of my greatest competitors and a great friend. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2003 when doctors found a malignant cyst in his lungs and he died about 2 years after that. You are missed buddy =[

Final Results:
1) Me
2) Shaun Thompson (RIP 8/30/2005), Australia
3) Matthieu Flourens, France
