Let's crash Booster's wedding and take Peach back!
VS Bundt When the fight begins, the head chef and his assistant will start wailing on you, either doing small physical damage, or throw frying pans at you for massive physical damage. When they depart, Bundt will start using ice and thunder spells on you, which does moderate magical damage. After receiving more damage, the candles on the cake will light up, and he will start using Flare for a good amount of magical damage.
Unlike the original, Bundt does not fear you, so you don't have to worry about packing Safety Pins or Elixirs (although you should bring along a couple just in case). Your regular equipment set-ups should be fine, although I gave Mario the Fire Hammer so his Multibounce can do more damage. Bring the usual: Mushrooms, Honey/Maple Syurps and Life Shrooms. It's a good idea to bring along a Bracer, Crystallize and Power Surge (poor Energizer hasn't been used at all lately...).
The chef and his assistant are probably the toughest part of the fight, and if you wipe them out the rest should be easy. You need to wail on one of them to continue the story, and then the other to initiate the real fight. As usual, use a Bracer, Crystallize and Power Surge. Have Mario use Jump, Geno use Star Beam and Mallow use Thunderbolt. Bowser can just stick with physicals.
As long as you have Crystallize up and keep everyone's health up by either using Mushrooms, Elixirs or Holy Star, Bundt's ice and thunder spells won't hurt you too much. At this point, you should continue using Star Beam and Thunderbolt, although Mario should move on to Multibounce.
When his candles lights up, you pretty much have the battle in the bag as he can only use Flare once a round, and if you have Crystallize or Holy Star's effects up, he can't kill you outright even if you have P-Up/D-Down equipped. At this point Mallow should use Mushrooms to keep everyone's health up as you use Multibounce and Star Beam.
...so that's where the Ice Ring is, Peach has it on her the entire time! She's faithful to the original - she's a great healer. She already comes with the infamous Group Hug and her new Princess Guard, which increases everyone's Defense. As an additional bonus, she cannot be Mushroomed!
