GCN's Power Breakfast is porridge with a twist. This was Simon Richardson's breakfast of choice throughout his professional career, and now he's sharing his secret to success with all you lucky GCN viewers!

If you want slow release carbohydrates, the Power Breakfast is a great way to start your day.

Here's Simon's secret recipe:
Around 1/2 cup thick cut oats per person
Double the volume of liquid to oats - milk, water, or a combination
A handful of sultanas
1 chopped banana
Pinch of salt (optional)
Flaked almonds (optional)
Drizzle of honey (optional)

Oh, and remember to do the washing up!
