According to Lorenz Mueller, "Nanokosmos" is a collection of easy tonal/modal piano pieces that attempt to imitate the style of Bartók's famous "Mikrokosmos" for piano students.

Perf notes: I had fun playing these pieces (there are 9 total in the set) and have yet to learn the rest. I recorded the first two pieces on a baldwin hamilton, the second day of my recording session someone was using that room so the last three are played on a baldwin concert vertical. I took some liberties in terms of how I played these pieces but I hope they are for the most part true to the way Lorenz wishes for them to be played!
