Today, the Dr. Monica Wehby for US Senate campaign is announcing the release of their third TV ad, "Accountability." The ad will begin airing statewide in rotation with the campaign's other TV ads, "It's Not Brain Surgery," and "Trust," throughout the GOP primary being held on May 20th. Dr. Wehby remains the only statewide campaign on television in Oregon.

The ad is titled, "Accountability," and points out that career politicians in Washington D.C. have none. This is the first ad to directly reference Senator Merkley and is the opening salvo of the likely general election race. Politicians are trained to argue and blame others, doctors are trained to solve problems. As a pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Wehby doesn't get a do-over. We could use a little more of that attitude from our leaders in Washington, D.C.

Recent polling has the race between Dr. Wehby and Sen. Merkley as a statistical dead heat. The latest poll of the Republican Primary on May 20th has Dr. Wehby leading her nearest competitor by 20 points.

Transcript: "Accountability"

DR. MONICA WEHBY: I'm Dr. Monica Wehby. In the operating room you have to get it right 100 percent of the time.

But in Washington there is zero accountability.

Career politicians like Jeff Merkley created a seventeen trillion dollar debt. And they still refuse to admit Obamacare is a disaster.

I'm Dr. Monica Wehby and I approve this message because it is time to hold the politicians accountable.

That's why I'm running for the U.S. Senate
