So this is what happened to Mars City proper eh? Yes, I know I missed the chance to get some of the items at the begining of the game. Anyways, I like this level since shadows aren't as pervaisive as the following levels are. I have no idea why this level took 30 seconds to load, the other levels only took 5-10 seconds.
This is the last we hear of vent man, his voice trails off in the wall to the right of the elevator. Though we briefly meet up with New Vent-man. No new weapons pop up, though if you missed the machine gun in the last level, this is the first level you have access to it, as it is used by Machine gun Z-secs, which are about as much of a threat as pistol Z-secs, only much more annoying. As apposed to how I used the machine gun in the underground, it is actually a fairly good weapon, if situationa. This is also the first time we see a sentry bot in action, I'll get into them a little more in part 2. This is the first level we need to find an actual key to get past a door. And no, you cannot save the marine struggling with the zombie, he always dies, ostensibly he stayed behind to wait for you. So he died for our slow selves.
A new enemy we encounter is Burnie. He is a faster form of zombie, slightly stronger, slightly more resilient, and slightly more on fire. Also of note the Zombie on the operating table is the only one that looks like it in the game. Be amazed by his uniqeness as I turn him into ground beef.
