On this International Artists Crescendo! video we present Joseph Lachman, winnner of the American Harp Society Greater Seattle Chapter Scholarship Award 2008. The selection heard is the beautiful Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy for solo harp.

Joseph has been playing the harp about 4 1/2 years and is currently a student of Suzanne Hussong. He began studying harp in middle school, and has been performing with the Seattle Junior Youth Symphony Orchestra the past two years. Now a junior, he currently plays the harp with his school's orchestra and private harp ensembles. Joseph just completed a two-week tour of Japan with his high school orchestra - a wonderfully enriching and unforgettable experience. Joseph is also a volunteer music tutor to elementary school students.

This clip is part of a full episode that aired on SCAN TV in Seattle (Comcast channel 77 or Broadstripe [formerly Millennium] channel 23) on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 6:30 pm PST.
