"Engraved in stone long ago,
Lost in the shifting sand,
In the midst of a crumbling world,
The vision of one flower."

This song is dedicated to those who have given us hope,
even if for only brief and fleeting moments in our lives.
Those true moments where we hope, I think,
are the ones where we are our happiest.
We might not always feel that same hope when things get their most difficult,
but we can look back at those moments of hope and happiness,
as those moments are ours to keep; none may take them away.
Even at our worst, we can hope to be stronger. We can hope to be better people.
We can hope to heal and even hope to feel hope again.
In this way, I believe to hope is inherent to man.
I believe hope is universal,
and as long as we don't give up on the world, or the people around us
and as long as we don't give up on the ones we love,
that there will always be hope.
In time we'll learn to forgive
And in time we'll learn to forget
Perhaps in time we can try again
Until that time I'll wait here, my friend.
It may hurt now, but still I feel
It may hurt now, but still I smile
It may hurt now, but I will heal
We may hurt now, but still, we hope.
