Today marks the 65th anniversary of the US bombing of Hiroshima. It was not only a turning point in World War II, but also a turning point in history as the world was introduced to the atomic bomb for the first time. RT sat down for an exclusive interview with Theodore Van Kirk, the last surviving member of the Enola Gay, the American bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

for those who gave it a thumb down, you severely need a history. Ugly as it is, it would have made it a lot worse for both sides if the bombs hadn't been used to end the war.

And what about the fact that America intercepted messages from Japan to Russia negotiating terms for Japan to surrender. That's why they dropped the bombs without informing Russia, which pissed off Stalin and effectively lead to the start of the Cold War. Poor old man is as brainwashed now as he was back in 1945......
