A movie inspired by Spencer C. Montgomery and Slow Food at the University of New Hampshire (www.facebook.com/slowfoodunh)

"For the Love of it" illustrates the Slow Food process; from the procurement of fresh local ingredients, to the culinary processing of them, and ending with the enjoyment of the meal with loved ones. Slow Food is the very essence of food culture.

Slow Food UNH is just one of many growing 'food communities' in the United States. A 'food community' can be described as a group of forward-thinking individuals that wish to bring forth changes to our food system in the most pleasurably peaceful way. Our pursuit for a healthy & explorative food culture is what defines us, and we are fueled by a hunger for food sovereignty.*

When we gather as food communities, suddenly we can increase our buying power at farmers' markets. This helps ignite local food economies. Together we can make a statement and truly 'vote with our fork'.

* Food sovereignty is the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems (as defined in the 'Declaration of Nyéléni')
