You are fuckin retarded, just send it in and they'll send you a sharpened properly functioning knife. Unless you got a fake. And for fuck sakes don't talk with your mouth full you amateur.

I could be meen or a but face but know. U just got a bad one but I can tell u that that little spyder all ur going  to be cutting is that paper but my barrage I bought one and only one and I can notch thru a 4by4 with it not even a nick on that bad ass blade Benchmade is a mans knife spyderco or what ever it is is the first knife u by a kid for his first knife with a little sharpness to it to cut paper and snags on shirts and the kids like them because they look stupid when the kid grows to a man he looks for a knife a tool and weapon so there for benchmade Barrage 580

There is a place for assisted opening knives. I use if daily for EMS work and it's worked out fine. You most likely got a fake, if not send it in and they will either tell you it's fake or send you a new one that functions properly. I have 3 Barrage knives, all custom through their custom knife maker site and it's come to me hair shaving sharp. Not razor sharp like you would get with a Wicked Edge Sharpener but that's by design. A razor sharp edge would wear down too quick for hard use out in the field. You can't have both, a Wicked razor edge and an edge that lasts through hard use... you have to choose. You can't defy physics. A razor edge is more for the general public, a casual user that cuts cardboard to open packages or paper, etc. Try chopping some hard wood with that spyderco of yours and see how long your edge lasts and you will see what I'm talking about.

I have the 580s. And I took out the coil spring. So much better
There is no problem with the axis lock on that Barrage. The coil spring is not set right and it apply tension to the blade all the time. It only a matter of resetting it and it will work perfectly. As for the blade, my Barrage came razor sharp, i carried it for about 2 years, i use my knife every 5-10 minutes sometimes more often and it is still working fine.
Did you verify this knife was benchmade? The last couple of years have seen some apparent good visual copies. The copies do not have Benchmade material or tolerance standards. I do own a 853BK. I love the knife and action. I do not like the handle material; it's light weight, relatively slick and sounds cheap if you tap it. I prefer a handle such as the 522bk; that is a handle that feels great.
If you're going to do a review, do a review on a properly working knife, not an obviously defective one. A typical Barrage comes with the lock working and razor sharp. Regarding the Tenacious, it maybe good for a Chinese made knife, but you're looking at a 8Cr13MoV "value" steel vs a high end 154CM steel. And spit out the gum.

Get your moms cock out of your mouth and stop complaining if its 100% sharp. Just use it
Did you call Benchmark customer service for a replacement?
